The Damp and Mould Service Coordinator role supports the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham (LBHF) Housing department in managing damp and mould issues across the Council’s housing stock. The role is fully office based and offers full-time hours Monday to Friday, contributing to resident satisfaction and housing quality.
The Damp and Mould Service Coordinator will provide essential administrative, coordination, and resident engagement support to the Damp and Mould team. The post holder will help ensure that inspection and repair works are efficiently delivered, lessons learned are implemented, and all correspondence and reporting meet corporate standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Damp and Mould inbox, ensuring timely responses to all correspondence.
- Schedule inspections and coordinate with Surveyors and contractors.
- Monitor job progress, raise follow-up orders, and compile aftercare call records.
- Prepare meeting materials, book rooms, and maintain accurate records.
- Review time extensions and cost variations submitted by contractors.
- Scrutinise completion and cancellation requests to ensure compliance.
- Attend performance meetings and contribute to quality and compliance discussions.
- Represent LBHF at resident engagement meetings, providing updates and resolutions.
- Make proactive contact with residents to manage expectations and prevent complaints.
- Support complaint responses and compile repair histories or relevant evidence.
- Work closely with other teams to ensure joined-up service delivery.
- Coordinate with surveyors and housing officers to address complex or cross-service jobs.
- Minimum 12 months’ experience in a social housing environment.
- Previous experience in a repairs or damp and mould team (desirable).
- Exceptional organisational and multitasking ability.
- Strong communication skills with a professional, customer-focused approach.
- Good IT proficiency across Microsoft Office applications and housing systems.
