We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Contract Manager to oversee, develop and grow our planned preventative maintenance (PPM) contracts portfolio. You will be responsible for managing existing PPM contracts to ensure quality delivery and customer satisfaction, identifying and securing additional remedial works within those contracts, and leading the tendering and sales process to win new PPM business to drive portfolio growth. Our services span planned and reactive maintenance, installations, commercial gas services, hot water systems, ventilation and electrical works for commercial and public sector clients. Our focus is on delivering high-quality engineering solutions that keep facilities compliant, safe and operational.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the delivery of all existing PPM contracts to ensure performance targets, compliance and client expectations are met.
- Maintain strong client relationships with estate and facilities managers to ensure contract retention and growth.
- Conduct regular contract reviews, performance reporting and client feedback sessions.
- Identify opportunities for additional remedial works and value-adding services within the scope of current PPM contracts.
- Work collaboratively with operations and service teams to scope, price and deliver remedial works efficiently.
- Provide regular opportunities reporting and forecasts to senior leadership.
- Lead the end-to-end tendering process for new PPM contracts including bid strategy, resourcing, pricing, compliance documentation and submission.
- Develop compelling proposals, commercial models and presentations for prospective clients.
- Build and nurture a pipeline of new PPM opportunities and support sales strategy to grow contract portfolio.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in contract and commercial management within mechanical, HVAC, facilities or building services environment.
- Strong understanding of PPM contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), pricing and mobilisation.
- Mechanically inclined with technical understanding of HVAC, heating, ventilation, gas, hot water systems and broader M&E services.
- Excellent commercial acumen with experience identifying growth opportunities and converting them into revenue.
- Demonstrable success in tendering and winning new maintenance contracts with commercial and public sector clients.
- Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Background in mechanical engineering, building services, or related technical discipline.
- Professional certification in contract management or business development.
- Knowledge of industry standards, compliance and statutory regulations relevant to mechanical and HVAC systems.
