The Role
This is a hands-on CNC turning position focused on programming, setting and optimising machines to produce high-end, precision components to exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and set CNC turning machines (Mazak, XYZ and Citizen)
- Interpret detailed engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications
- Work closely with design and production teams to optimise manufacturability
- Ensure all components meet strict quality and finish standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement of machining processes
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience programming and setting CNC turning machines
- Strong knowledge of metals and machining processes (particularly brass)
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving capability
- Ability to work collaboratively within a production environment
- Strong work ethic and accountability for quality output
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience using Fusion 360 or other CAM software
- Formal engineering or machining qualifications
