My client is a specialist mechanical contractor working within the construction industry. They design, supply, install, service & maintain air conditioning, heating & ventilation systems for commercial buildings. Based in Hertfordshire, they employ 30 people and are seeking an AC supervisor to lead a team.
Duties
- Provide technical support to field engineers
- Support surveys and run small projects (subcontractors)
- Perform maintenance, inspection & repair services for air conditioning / ventilation / refrigeration / cooling systems
- Complete PPM for AHU, VRVs, split systems & fan coil units
- Maintain records for all HVAC kits on site & monitor critical maintenance schedules including F-Gas records
- Liaise with electrical, building services & BMS teams, providing overlap where required
- Assist with general ad-hoc maintenance tasks as needed
Requirements
- Experience managing a small team of AC engineers
- At least 10 years experience of PPM and reactive works, holding qualifications including NVQ & F-Gas
- Experience with all AC systems from split type units to VRV (Daikin & Mitsubishi)
- Experience working with AHUs, heat recovery units & 4-pipe fan coil units
- Electrical and plumbing knowledge
- IT literate with good record/data-keeping skills
- Pro-active attitude, highly articulate & presentable with good customer-facing skills
- Full clean driving licence
Package
- Salary £55/60k + (depending on experience; includes travel time within 50 miles)
- Working hours 08:00 – 17:00
- Van/uniform/phone/tablet supplied
- 25 days holiday
- On-call rota 1 in 10 £100 standby
