Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a growing distribution business based in Andover. This is a full time, permanent position.
Responsibilities:
- Multiple bank reconciliations in multi currencies
- Maintaining nominal ledgers on Xero
- Management accounts preparation with accruals, prepayments and depreciation journals
- Posting and management of stock purchases
- Goods in transit
- Oversee Credit control with intervention where required
- Managing the integration of the stock control system to Xero with monthly COS adjustments, stock write off etc.
- Bank payments and payment run preparation
- Weekly Cash flow forecasting and management
- VAT return preparation, with PVA statements, adjustments
- Payroll preparation from start to finished and submission to HMRC
- Pension submissions and management via payroll and portal
- Annual accounts preparation and liaison with external accountants
- Interaction with HMRC
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years within an accounts position
- Previous experience within a SME
- Strong knowledge of Xero
- Microsoft proficient
- Accountancy qualification at AAT and above
The Accounts Assistant position:
- Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
- £35,000 - £42,000 depending on experience
- Staff discount
