Warehouse Manager – Birkenhead Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum (DOE) Hours: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM (38.5 hours per week) We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a rapidly expanding manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join a busy site, lead a small team, and drive operational improvements. What\’s on Offer: Competitive salary (up to £42,000) Simply Health cover 25 days holiday + bank holidays (pro rata) Contributory pension scheme Free car parking Free tea, coffee, and fruit Unum Help at Hand Long service awards Sick pay (after qualifying period) Discretionary company performance bonus Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop a highly efficient Warehouse operation, including Goods In/Out and 3rd party movements Train, coach, and develop a small team Implement digital processes for goods movements, fully integrated with SAGE Oversee potential relocation of the warehouse to larger facilities Introduce innovative ways of working to improve efficiency across the warehouse operation Develop and maintain SOPs Work collaboratively with Stock Control and Continuous Improvement teams Manage inventory using FIFO and stock rotation principles Oversee and participate in monthly and annual stock counts Manage yard operations effectively Allocate resources to meet short and long-term requirements Monitor performance against KPIs and carry out bi-annual reviews with training plans Ensure health and safety standards are maintained in partnership with the H&S Manager Ensure appropriate stock availability for production linesSkills & Experience Required: Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager in a fast-paced environment Track record of digitalising warehouse systems Experience in warehouse relocation and redesign Strong people management and team development skills Valid FLT licence (FLT Instructor qualification desirable but not essential) Confident in handling changing priorities and operational challenges Proficient in SAGE for stock monitoring and control Ability to challenge current processes and implement improvements to drive efficiency
