Hours: Mon–Thu 08:00–16:45 | Fri 08:00–14:00

Pay: £14.00 per hour

Role Overview

We are seeking an Electron Beam (EB) Welding Technician to produce high-quality precision welds using advanced EB welding equipment. You will work to engineering drawings and strict quality standards, supporting the manufacture of high-value components in a controlled environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor EB welding machines (high/low vacuum)
  • Prepare and align components; select and adjust welding parameters
  • Perform welds in line with SOPs, drawings, and quality requirements
  • Complete production and quality documentation accurately
  • Inspect weld quality and report any defects or deviations
  • Carry out routine machine maintenance and follow all safety procedures

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Experience in precision welding (EB, laser, or similar)
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
  • Comfortable working to SOPs with full traceability

Desirable:

  • EB welding certification or formal training
  • Experience with automated welding systems
