We are recruiting for a reliable and hardworking School Caretaker to work at a school in Wolverhampton. This is a split shift caretaker / site supervisor role working Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day running of the school site, ensuring the premises are safe, secure, clean and well maintained.
Pay Rate: £14.00 – £16.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 6:45am – 10:00am and 2:15pm – 6:30pm
- Friday: 6:45am – 10:00am and 2:15pm – 6:00pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carrying out daily health and safety checks in line with the school’s health and safety procedures
- Completing and maintaining site check paperwork and records
- Basic site maintenance and minor repairs including:
- Unblocking drains
- Fixing leaking taps
- Minor toilet repairs
Requirements:
- Fully Enhanced DBS Certificate (mandatory)
- Full 5-year work history with references
- Experience in caretaking, maintenance, facilities, or site work preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage daily site duties
- Strong understanding of health and safety standards
