We are recruiting for a Transport Co-ordinator based in Telford. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of daily transport activities. You will monitor vehicle movements, plan deliveries, and provide excellent communication between drivers, warehouse staff, and customers. A strong focus on organisation, problem-solving, and customer satisfaction is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor vehicle movements using the tracking system to ensure schedules are maintained.
- Track and report any delays such as motorway closures, breakdowns, or other issues.
- Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to report and resolve delivery or collection problems promptly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information within the Transport Management System (TMS).
- Support completion of key performance indicators (KPIs) by ensuring data integrity.
- Plan and organise same day deliveries using available transport resources.
- Maintain excellent customer relationships, providing clear and timely communication at all times.
- Work collaboratively with the wider logistics and operations teams to achieve departmental objectives.

Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in a transport or logistics co-ordination role (preferred).
- Understanding of road transport regulations, including Driver CPC and Working Time Directive (advantageous).
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Strong IT literacy, with experience using TMS or similar systems.
