We are seeking an organised and proactive Assistant Accountant to join a finance team based in Burntwood. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic, fast-paced environment supporting day-to-day finance operations and month-end processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Posting and reconciling bank transactions
- Credit control, aged debtor reviews, and payment allocations
- Processing purchase invoices and updating Sage records
- Managing supplier payments and creditor reports
- Month-end tasks including reconciliations, journals, accruals, and petty cash
- Preparing nominal ledger reports and VAT records
- Responding to finance queries and ad hoc finance duties
What We’re Looking For:
- AAT L4 qualified or part-qualified, or 3+ years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in Sage accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Experience of dealing with overseas customers would be an advantage
This is an office-based role working Monday to Thursday 9am - 5.00pm and Friday 9.00am - 3.00pm.
