Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of a well-established fabrication business based in West Bromwich. With a growing order book, they are now expanding their Projects Team and looking for a Senior Fabricator. This is a hands-on, creative fabrication role ideal for someone with solid problem-solving skills and experience in delivering one-off, made-to-spec metalwork projects. You will play a key role in producing bespoke items, often working independently from technical drawings and working closely with design and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate bespoke steel products from drawings/specs
- Use a wide range of fabrication methods and tools (cutting, welding, forming, etc.)
- Solve technical challenges on the shop floor
- Work autonomously to complete complex, one-off items
- Liaise with the project team to ensure design and build accuracy
Requirements
- Proven experience as a fabricator, ideally in a bespoke or project-led environment
- Ability to read and work from detailed technical drawings
- Self-motivated and creative approach to fabrication
- Comfortable working solo and as part of a team
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, 06:00 - 15:00
Pay Rate: £19.00 per hour
