Are you an experienced and driven Production Team Leader ready to take the next step in your manufacturing career? We’re looking for a hands-on Team Leader to support the day-to-day running of a fast-paced food production environment based in Wednesbury. As the key support to senior site leadership, you’ll take ownership of people, process, and performance across 15 key production areas, helping to drive efficiency, maintain high standards, and lead a team in achieving daily targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate production staff to ensure workflow runs smoothly
- Oversee movement and packaging of finished products (1L to 20L containers and IBCs)
- Ensure food safety, legality, and quality standards are adhered to at all times
- Ensure allergen awareness and safe handling practices across all areas
- Monitor KPIs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Conduct disciplinaries, return-to-works, and performance reviews confidently
- Maintain a clean and compliant environment with strict PPE and hygiene practices (hairnets, correct clothing, etc.)
- Assist with palletising and preparing finished products for dispatch
- Handle manual tasks safely and follow health & safety procedures
- Escalate issues appropriately and support senior management with audits and compliance
What we’re looking for:
- Previous supervisory/team lead experience in a fast-paced production or FMCG environment (food preferred)
- Ability to lead a team, make decisions on the ground, and hit production targets
- Comfortable working with allergen-containing products and maintaining food safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail and methodical approach to processes
- KPI- and results-driven, with an understanding of operational efficiency
Pay & Hours:
