Pertemps are looking for a reliable, quick-thinking individual to join a busy production team as a Packing Operative on the night shift. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone who’s proactive, physically fit, and eager to grow within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Packing products on 3 production lines, ensuring accuracy and consistent quality
- Picking products off the line and placing them in designated locations
- Manual handling, including some heavy lifting of finished goods
- Supporting the team to meet production and efficiency targets
- Understanding what to do in the event of a machine breakdown, escalate as required
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area, following hygiene and PPE standards
- Operating safely around machinery and in palletising areas
- Counterbalance Forklift (CB) licence desirable but not essential
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in packing, warehouse, or manufacturing (especially food or FMCG)
- A strong, quick learner who can work well under pressure
- Good physical fitness and awareness of manual handling safety
- Team-focused and willing to help wherever needed
- Reliable, punctual, and looking for long-term progression
