Our client is a well-established, world leading manufacturing business that produces and supplies their specialist products to high profile customers within the MOD, Automotive and Medical industries around the world. Through growth and investment, the company is looking to recruit an Engineering Coordinator, to work alongside the Engineering Manager, to assist with the documentation of design work and liaise with the Manufacturing and Procurement departments.
As the Engineering Coordinator, your duties will include:
- Test and check the first versions of new designs.
- Review and update bills of materials (BOM) for first-off designs.
- Record and define wiring layouts for initial filter designs.
- Help implement engineering changes, with guidance from senior engineers.
- Assist with concessions or exceptions, with support from senior engineers.
- Contribute to improvement projects to make processes better.
- Train production staff on building the first version of filters.
- Support the Procurement team with questions about components.
- Program Radan software for punch and brake press operations.
As the successful Engineering Coordinator, you will have the following skills/experience:
- Ideally have a minimum BTEC/HNC qualification within an Engineering discipline.
- Must have previous working experience within a Manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of BOM’s.
- Versatile and a self-starter, able to work without supervision.
- Excellent communicator.
- Ability to plan and prioritise workload.
- Excellent team player.
