We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on a temp-perm basis for our client who is a well-established manufacture and distribution company based in Warrington. Reporting to the Finance Manager you will create inventory periods, vendor and customer posting groups as well as VAT posting setups and general ledger setup and operations. You will be involved in supporting the Finance Team to create the accounting financial statements for the business.
As an Accounts Assistant your duties will be:
- Processing purchase invoices on NAV, including seeking relevant authorisations.
- Processing incoming customer receipts (collections) to the correct customer records.
- Chasing for outstanding customer invoices and sending monthly customer statements alongside the UK Finance Manager.
- Preparing payment run for vendor payments alongside the UK Finance Manager.
- Processing other bank reconciliation items via journals.
- Involvement in booking employee expenses to the ledger and seeking relevant approval.
- Support function of the calculation of owed customer rebates and commission calculations.
- Involvement in compiling and submitting VAT returns for the UK & Poland.
The successful Accounts Assistant will have the following skills:
