Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £40,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
We’re currently hiring an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage painting and refurbishment contracts across Cumbria, Carlisle. This role is ideal for a commercially focused professional with a strong background in planned maintenance, repairs, and redecoration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and price tenders for painting and planned refurbishment works
- Lead projects from start to finish, ensuring cost control and margin improvement
- Produce and manage Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and financial forecasts
- Administer subcontractor packages and applications for payment
- Evaluate bills of quantities and schedules of rates accurately
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Requirements:
- Qualification in Quantity Surveying (HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma or equivalent)
- Proven experience in painting, refurbishment, or planned maintenance sectors
- Commercially strong with knowledge of contracts, procurement, and reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Comfortable working with both direct labour and subcontractors
