A leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy is looking for a Civil Engineer with a strong background in highways and drainage design to join their growing Leeds team. You’ll work on a wide portfolio of UK infrastructure projects, supporting local authorities, developers, and national frameworks.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering design work for S278, S38, S104 and wider infrastructure schemes
- Producing highways and drainage designs from feasibility through to detailed design
- Working with DMRB, local authority standards, and active travel guidance (LTN 1/20)
- Producing drawings, reports, and technical documentation
- Coordinating with internal teams across structures, transport planning, and environment
- Supporting senior engineers and mentoring juniors where appropriate
What they’re looking for:
- 3–7 years’ experience in civil, highways, or drainage engineering
- Strong knowledge of UK design standards (DMRB, SuDS, local authority guidance)
- Experience with Civil 3D or AutoCAD, and drainage software such as MicroDrainage / Causeway Flow
- Ability to deliver highway geometry, drainage layouts, and general civil engineering details
- Good communication skills and experience working with public-sector or consultancy clients
