We are supporting a highly respected, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with the appointment of a Civil Design Engineer to join their expanding Leeds office. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with experience in highways and/or drainage design to work on a diverse range of development infrastructure projects across residential, commercial, education, healthcare, urban regeneration and mixed-use schemes.
The Role
- Designing highways, junctions, access roads and public realm layouts
- Delivering drainage designs, including SuDS, foul and surface water systems
- Preparing designs for Section 278, 38, 104 and 106 submissions
- Working with Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage and related software
- Producing drawings, reports, specifications and technical calculations
- Supporting senior engineers and liaising directly with clients, architects and local authorities
- Contributing to project planning, design review meetings and technical approvals

What We’re Looking For
- 2–5+ years’ experience in civil/infrastructure design
- Background in highways and/or drainage design
- Strong working knowledge of Civil 3D and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage
- Understanding of UK design standards (DMRB, MfS, SuDS etc.)
- Experience producing drawings and technical documentation
- Enthusiasm for progression and chartership development
