The Employer: We are looking to fill the role of Grounds Maintenance Operative within a housing environment. Our client is one of the largest social housing providers in the South of England, with a 5-year plan focused on creating sustainable communities through building new homes and investing in existing ones.
The Role:
- Deliver grounds maintenance services to the communal areas of managed estates
- Use PDA reporting system to record site visits and tasks
- Perform grass cutting, hedge trimming, pruning, weed control, litter picking, and other related tasks
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report defects
- Ensure vehicles are clean and regularly checked, reporting issues
- Assist other trades as needed to ensure high-quality service to residents
The Candidate Needs:
- Experience in a similar role or trade background, preferably grounds maintenance
- Knowledge of practical and technical issues in grounds maintenance
- Skills in using mechanical and hand tools for grounds work
- Understanding of customer needs and quick thinking abilities
- Courteous and professional behavior
