RGB Recruitment Ltd are pleased to be supporting a well established Mechanical & Electrical engineering business who are actively looking for a Junior Electrical Estimator to join their team in Exeter. They have a strong track record and a people-first culture.
About the Company
This company has been operating for over 30 years, delivering high-quality building services (mechanical and electrical) across a wide variety of sectors including industrial, commercial and retail with offices in Bristol and Exeter. Their work spans installation, design, maintenance, and energy-efficiency/decarbonisation projects.
The Role
As a Junior Electrical Estimator, you will:
- Work alongside the Regional Estimating Manager, learning the full estimating process.
- Produce accurate quotations from technical drawings and specifications.
- Support bid preparation, cost analysis, and review of electrical designs.
- Liaise with site teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders to gather pricing and ensure feasibility.
- Help to develop estimating tools, maintain databases, and improve cost-estimating methodology.
Who We’re Looking For
Ideally, you will have:
- Site-based experience (ideally working as a qualified electrician).
- A technical understanding of electrical systems (lighting, power distribution, possibly low-voltage M&E systems).
- A willingness to move off site and into an office role.
- Good numeracy, attention to detail, and strong IT skills.
- A proactive approach and strong communication skills.
