Work alongside skilled project managers, contribute to critical projects, and earn a respected Level 6 Project Management qualification.

What you’ll be doing as a Project Manager Apprentice:

  • Maintain the high velocity and delivery quality of our diverse innovation portfolio.
  • Support the innovation PMO in managing critical projects.
  • You will be trained directly in the unique complexities of managing Engineering Innovation projects, from initial R&D concept through to minimum viable product (MVP) delivery.

Where you’ll work:

  • Location: Reading STW RG2 0RP
  • Hours: 36-hour week over four working days plus one training day.
  • Start date: September 2026

Training and qualification:

  • Study with the University of Cumbria, a leading UK Project Management provider, through weekly online tuition and occasional face-to-face sessions in Lancaster.
  • Qualification achieved: Project Manager Apprenticeship Standard - BSc Hons Project Management and APM PMQ qualifications.
  • Duration: Permanent contract with a 48-month structured programme.

What you should bring to the role:

  • Holds 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 9-4 / A-C)
  • Holds 3 A-Levels or Equivalent Level 3 BTEC.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Good communication and time management skills.
  • Works well within a team as well as independently.
