With the scale of increase in AMP8 investment, there is a once in a generation opportunity to establish a central AO&CD PMO that will drive greater visibility, end-to-end control and oversight of all capex investment, and build capability.\\n\\nWhat you’ll be doing as Head of PMO – Baseline Management\\nScope of the Role:\\nThe Asset, Operations & Capital Delivery (AO&CD) Portfolio Management Office (PMO) is designed as a ‘hub and spoke’ delivery model.\\n\\nThis model enables the ‘Hub’ PMO to provide critical delivery and enable PMO services and the ‘Spoke’ PMOs in Asset Management & Engineering (AM&E), Capital Delivery (CD) and Renewals & Logistics (R&L) to drive standardised delivery across the AO&CD Project Lifecycle and enable the AMP8 Strategic Sponsor delivery model.\\nThis role is part of the ‘Hub’ PMO leadership team.\\n\\nPurpose of the Role:\\nYou will be responsible for setting, managing and change controlling the AMP8 baseline throughout the strategic programme lifecycle, enabling the production of value-added reports and insights.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\nDevelop, set up and implement the baseline management framework, processes and procedures.\\nBuild team and internal capability through robust recruitment, communication, training, coaching, and development of SME's.\\nDefine and implement processes and procedures to enable robust levels of governance, assurance and baseline control required for each Sub Programme and Strategic Programme.\\nDevelop, set up and implement processes and systems to enable the integration of cost, schedule, risk and outcomes across the strategic programmes.\\nDevelop, set up and implement formal processes and procedures for the change control of the AMP8 baseline.\\nEnsures the baseline represents the Portfolio’s current position, based on approved changes to date, from which performance and future change can be measured.\\nLeads the Baseline Management team to provide accurate, timely and robust levels of assurance of baselines.\\nLead, mentor, and develop high-performing cross-discipline PMO teams across AO&CD, ensuring that the teams’ skills align with the demands of modern infrastructure P3M management.What you should bring to the role:\\n\\nComprehensive knowledge and understanding of complex capital projects and major programmes through the lifecycle to benefit realisation.\\nSet up and delivery of project management frameworks, processes, standards and assurance within a complex portfolio environment.\\nStrong senior leadership skills to manage, influence, and motivate teams and lead change in and outside of PMO Hub.\\nDelivery of activities to build capability, improve efficiency and increase maturity.\\nExperience in gathering, analysing and presenting complex information to different audiences to support strategic decision-making.\\nExperience in working with and influencing multi-disciplinary teams to provide an integrated outcome.\\nProficiency in project management methodologies and tools (risk management, scheduling software).\\nGood understanding of corporate systems (SAP/P6).\\nGood understanding of the concepts and principles associated with multiple disciplines; cost planning, scheduling, risk management and change control.\\nAbility to make risk-based decisions where the parameters are unclear and judgment is needed.\\nDegree or equivalent in Business Management, Commercial, Data Management, Engineering, Project Management or Finance-related subject.\\nAPM qualification – APM PPQ, APM PMQ or APM Major Project, CHPPM.\\nExperience of P3M.\\nExperience in IT solutions required to manage, control and report on project, programme and portfolio scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities and issues, benefits, and quality.\\nChange management.What’s in it for you?\\n\\nCompetitive salary offering up to £110,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.\\nAnnual Leave – 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service.
