Our client based in the countryside between Wellington and Shrewsbury is looking for a full-time temporary to permanent warehouse team leader to join their successful and expanding team, to help drive the business forward.
You will be responsible for supervising a team within a warehouse environment, ensuring efficient and safe operations. You will lead, motivate, and train team members to meet daily targets and maintain high standards of productivity and safety. Your responsibilities will include overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping, enforcing safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
In addition, you will be training new team members, providing ongoing coaching, and identifying opportunities for improvement, communicating effectively with team members, other departments, and management, and assisting with inventory control, ensuring accurate stock levels, and resolving discrepancies. You will also identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the overall efficiency of the warehouse.
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous Senior Warehouse Experience
- Knowledge of Goods In and Goods Out and the paperwork associated
- Ability to lead, motivate, and guide a team towards common goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during daily operations
- Able to prioritise tasks, manage workload, and maintain a structured work environment
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and procedures
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software
Hours: Rotating shift of week 1- 8am-4:30pm M-F and Week 2- 10am-6:30pm M-F
Salary: £13.50 - £14.50 per hour depending on experience
