The Role
As a Project Support Engineer, you will act as the engine of the Projects team, taking ownership of delegated tasks to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to high-quality standards. You will provide hands‑on support to Project Managers, helping them focus on high-level project management while you keep the day-to-day activities on track. You will be involved in a wide variety of tasks, including:
- Updating and maintaining project timing plans and schedules
- Chasing suppliers, engineers, and internal teams to meet deadlines
- Supporting budgeting and cost‑tracking activities
- Liaising with Engineering, Purchasing, and Production teams
- Arranging site visits, meetings, and logistics
- Attending internal and client meetings and following up on actions
- Supporting document control, drawing release, and project documentation
- Visiting sites when required to ensure smooth project delivery
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Essentially, if something needs doing to move a project forward, you make it happen.
