Our specialist engineering client based in Stafford Park is looking for a full-time experienced Quality Inspector for a minimum contract of three months, which may go on longer for the right candidate.
Hours: 8-4.45pm Monday β Friday (Early Finish Friday)
Salary: Β£14.42- Β£15.86 per hour
Responsibilities of a Quality Inspector:
- Support the day-to-day processing of incoming parts & materials, in line with corporate procedures and health and safety guidelines.
- Responsible for supporting requirements to achieve customer satisfaction, quality, delivery & cost, alongside industry specific targets.
- Verify components & quantities are correct to purchase order.
- Liaise with appropriate personnel within the business to achieve efficient booking in.
- Record retention & filing in-line with corporate guidelines.
- Assist in any quality or customer related audits when required.
- Maintain good housekeeping and a high level of 5S.
- Participate in QHSE events, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and attend training as required to ensure compliance.
- Work in other areas of the Materials Management Group, Kitting, Stocktaking and Dispatch.
- Able and willing to work overtime, including evenings and weekends as and when required.
- Willing to travel if required (including overnight stay).
The ideal candidate for this Quality Inspector role would:
- Have experience in high level quality inspection.
- Be flexible with a willingness to work as part of a team.
- Have good timekeeping skills with a 'can do' attitude.
- Have a high level of attention to detail.
- Have good communication skills (verbal/written).
- Have good organisational and time management skills.
- Be able to work under pressure.
- Be computer literate, competency in MS Word and Excel - training provided.
- Be able to work on own initiative.
- Be calm under pressure and responsive to change.
- Have the ability to read CAD drawings, use of micrometres, Vernier callipers and other measurement tools.
- Have a preferable time served apprenticeship in Engineering.
