Software Development Engineer Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Software Development Engineer on behalf of our client based in Telford, Shropshire. Hours: Mon-Fri | Mon-Thurs 8.30-5.15 & Fri 8.30-4.15 Fully Office based Salary: £38,000 – £44,000 DOE. Key Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to: Maintaining and enhancing our own C++ based gauge/machine control software (GaugeXplorer). Designing and creating bespoke software applications. Creating interface drivers for a large range of hardware including motors, sensors, printers and cameras. Providing direct customer and in-house support for production and service departments. Occasional travel to customers facilities both UK and overseas. The successful Candidate: Computer degree level in software/computer engineering and maths. Visual C++ (essential), C#, SQL, in depth understanding of Windows OS Stemmer CVB, Machine Control, Image Processing (Advantageous) Characteristics: Reliable Focused and driven Assertive and confident Professional, credible and approachable individual Must be capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined team and also independently Enthusiastic and committed Ability to work in a challenging environment, under pressure and to time scales Meticulous attention to detail If you are interested in this role, please click to APPLY.
