We are a successful and growing food manufacturing company with a world‑class production site based in Telford. We are seeking a Systems Developer to join our team and play a key role in designing, developing and improving systems that drive efficiency, data accuracy and continuous improvement across the business.
Job Purpose
In our continued pursuit of operational excellence, the Systems Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing system solutions that support business objectives. The role involves translating business needs into technical specifications, developing custom‑built systems, improving existing platforms, and supporting data‑driven decision‑making across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, create and implement system solutions aligned to business needs and strategic direction.
- Analyse and redesign existing business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and enhance technical and system solutions.
- Integrate systems to ensure data accuracy, consistency and integrity.
- Maintain and support databases, systems and platforms.
- Drive continuous improvement of systems and processes.
- Contribute to web development solutions.
- Develop, update and maintain technical documentation.
- Provide ad‑hoc support and specialised reporting when required.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Systems Developer or in a similar role.
- Experience delivering end‑to‑end process improvement and system design.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server.
- In‑depth understanding of programming languages.
- Sound knowledge of operating systems and database technologies.
- Ability to adapt to change and respond to evolving business requirements.
- Strong logical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated initiative and innovative approach.
- Knowledge of front‑end and back‑end web systems.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads.

- Experience working within a fast‑paced manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
