Lead Accountant Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Lead Accountant on behalf of our client in Shifnal, Shropshire. The Successful candidate will have a client centred approach and will be able to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Hours: Mon-Fri – 36.25 hours per week | Office based. Salary: £34,000 36,000 per annum DOE. Duties include but not limited to: Company Accounts and Tax lead for the practice. Work with small UK & Base team to progress WIP & hit targets set by Practice Manager. To process client paperwork and to use information supplied to prepare final accounts and corporate/personal tax returns to be reviewed by partner. Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals. Preparing statutory accounts, dividend warrants, completed corporation tax returns and self-assessment returns. Calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct. Manage juniors and ensure they deliver tasks to high standard and to deadline. Deliver on targets outlined and agreed with Practice Manager. Perform client risk assessments Communicate between client and BASE for all aspects of accounts.
