Transport Operator – Hams HallShift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off | 06:00 – 18:00Salary: Competitive starting salaryWe’re looking for an experienced Transport Operator to join our dynamic and supportive transport team at Hams Hall. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a growing, professional logistics operation where your contribution makes a real difference every day.About the RoleAs a Transport Operator, you will play a key part in keeping our transport operations running safely, efficiently, and on time. You’ll manage driver performance, ensure vehicle compliance, and help maintain excellent service for our customers.Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor day-to-day transport operations for the site
• Ensure fleet and drivers remain safe and legally compliant
• Manage driver performance and de-briefs
• Allocate drivers and vehicles using the transport planning system
• Liaise with depots and delivery points
• Handle delivery issues including temperature, damages, or wrong products
• Create Goods Return Notifications (GRNs) for delivery problems
• Manage vehicle and trailer breakdowns
• Allocate stock and manage diary departures
• Produce invoices, job reports, and status updates
• Manage day-to-day administrative tasks including scanning, indexing, and filing

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in transport operations
• Knowledge of drivers’ hours and transport legislation
• Experience with Transport Management Systems is a plus, but not essential
• Target-focused and comfortable meeting tight deadlines
• Excellent IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook essential)
• Strong communication and organisation skills
• A proactive, can-do attitude and a team player mentality
