Fabricator / Welder – Permanent Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join a well-established engineering company. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent position with excellent pay, regular day shifts, and long-term stability.
Location: Tamworth
Salary: £16.00 per hour + benefits
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 7.00 am – 3.30 pm
Friday: 7.00 am – 2.00 pm
The Role
As a Fabricator / Welder, you\’ll be responsible for:
- Fabricating and welding steel, aluminium, and stainless components
- TIG welding (stainless pipework essential; aluminium an advantage)
- Preparing and finishing materials before welding (cutting, marking, cleaning, deburring)
- Reading engineering drawings to create accurate cutting and bolt lists
- Carrying out quality checks and signing off completed work
- Operating CNC machinery, press brake, and guillotine
- Loading/unloading deliveries and maintaining a clean, safe workshop
- Supporting continuous improvement by suggesting process/machine efficiency\’s
About You
- Minimum 3 years\’ TIG welding experience
- CNC experience plus sheet metal and machine maintenance background
- High attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy
- Forklift licence would be a bonus, but not essential
