We are currently seeking a skilled Fabricator Welder to join our growing fabrication team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong MIG welding experience and a background in sheet metal fabrication within a workshop environment.

The position will focus primarily on MIG welding, working with mild steel and sheet metal components to produce high-quality fabricated parts. Alongside welding duties, you will be involved in press brake operations, laser-cut components (Trumpf), and a range of general fabrication tasks typical of a precision metalwork business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Interpreting engineering drawings
  • Setting up and operating fabrication machinery
  • Assembling components
  • Ensuring finished products meet required quality standards

Attention to detail, consistency, and pride in workmanship are essential. We are looking for someone who is reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience with press brakes, laser-cut parts, folding, drilling, and general metal preparation is highly desirable. While formal qualifications are beneficial, practical experience and a strong work ethic are equally valued.

In return, we offer a stable, long-term opportunity within a local industry leader, competitive pay based on experience, and a supportive working environment. There is scope to develop your skills further within the fabrication department and grow with the business.

Hours of work: 07:15 – 16:15 Monday to Thursday, 07:15 – 12:15 on Fridays

Rates of pay: Variable based on experience, ranging from £15 - £17 per hour.

If you are an experienced MIG welder / Fabricator with a solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication and are looking for a reliable role in a professional workshop, we would like to hear from you.
