This is a full-time, permanent, on-site opportunity based in Tamworth. The CNC Cutter Grinder will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC grinding equipment used in the manufacture of both custom and standard cutting tools. Key duties involve machine programming and operation, inspection of completed parts with a range of precision measuring equipment, and ensuring all work meets stringent safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical interpretation skills and be capable of working independently to resolve technical issues.
Essential Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with CNC grinding machines, particularly Walter, ANCA, or Rollomatic models
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Skilled in setting up and operating grinding machinery
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in tool production (precision engineering experience essential)
- Adherence to workplace safety protocols and a commitment to cleanliness and order
- Solid problem-solving abilities and confidence in fault-finding and machine troubleshooting
- Previous experience in a similar role within the tooling or precision engineering sector
