Pertemps are actively seeking a time-served Brake Press Setter Operator for a leading manufacturer in the North Birmingham/ South Tamworth area. Heavily involved in the rail and automotive industries, this is an excellent opportunity to refine your skill-sets using hydraulic brake press machinery.

Core skills required for our Setter vacancy include:

  • Ability to interpret and reproduce based on technical drawings / schematics
  • Proven experience with setting Brake Presses (company use Amada, but knowledge of Trumpf or Edward Pearson will be considered)
  • Able to use verniers, calipers and other measuring gauges to quality assure your own work
  • Physically fit and able to load own machinery with medium-gauge steel panels

Note: Those with manual / hand press experience only need not apply; this vacancy is strictly targeted for applicants with a background in metal bending.

Hours of work: Monday to Thursdays / Fridays

Rate of pay: £15.00 - £16.50 per hour based on skills and experience.
