Pertemps Stoke are looking for a proactive and motivated Transport Planner to join a busy Stoke-on-Trent operation within the supply chain and logistics sector. This role is essential in maintaining an efficient transport function and supporting continuous improvement across all planning processes.

Key Responsibilities of this Transport Planner role

• Plan routes, allocate vehicles, and deploy driver resources to meet daily planning deadlines.
• Monitor and maintain KPI and SLA performance.
• Communicate regularly with stores and operational teams.
• Build strong working relationships through high-quality customer service.
• Act as a primary contact point for customer communication.
• Ensure compliance with work instructions, SOPs, and required checklists.

Skills and experience required for this Transport Planner role

• Previous experience in transport planning is essential.
• Background in logistics or supply chain transport operations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Confident IT skills, particularly with Excel.
• Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally.

Details of this Transport Planner role

• Salary – £30,237 per annum
• Location: Stoke-on-Trent
• Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday; 4 Saturdays per year; rotating shifts: 07:00‑15:00, 10:00‑18:00, and 14:00‑22:00
