The Opportunity
Join a globally recognised heavy equipment manufacturer supporting critical construction and quarry operations across the UK. This is a home-based Field Service Engineer role, covering the Bristol region, where you’ll take ownership of your day, travelling directly from home to customer sites. You’ll be working on a range of high-value plant machinery, playing a key role in keeping essential equipment operational. With a team of just 12 engineers nationwide, this is a close-knit, specialist environment where your contribution is visible and valued.
The Role
- Carrying out diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on heavy plant equipment
- Working across electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Managing your own workload – typically 1 to 3 jobs per day depending on complexity
- Attending customer sites including quarries, construction, and infrastructure projects
- Occasional overnight stays as required
- Ensuring high standards of safety and customer service at all times
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Engineering (or equivalent)
- Valid CSCS Card
- Proven experience in fault finding and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of:
- Hydraulics
- Electrical systems
- Mechanical systems
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Quarry Passport
- HS2 Site Card
