Working for a worldwide well-known brand in North Birmingham, the company manufactures niche products in a heavy industrial setting.
Responsibilities- Complete permits to work and risk assessments, assessing all risks involved in the work to be undertaken.
- Ensure safe systems of work are applied, adhered to and followed out consistently.
- Support and achieve Planned Preventative Maintenance, Reactive Maintenance and Plant improvements.
- Lead improvement initiatives, installation projects, statutory inspections, factory services and other duties required to ensure plant safety, performance, improvement and operation.
- Experience in heavy motorised and hydraulic plant operations; experience of rolling mills, extrusions, moulding or press shop would be highly regarded.
- Supervision of external contractors and service providers.
- Interact with all stakeholders at any level within the business to resolve equipment & site related issues.
- Be a point of contact for internal customers to resolve plant, equipment and safety issues & provide technical support.
- Interact with external bodies, suppliers and contractors to achieve the above.
- Ensure critical spares are available and stock levels are maintained on consumption.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship.
- Time served or apprentice trained candidates welcomed to apply.
- Experience in heavy motorised and hydraulic plant operations; knowledge of rolling mills/extrusions/moulding or press shop is valuable.
- Ability to supervise external contractors and service providers.
- Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
The salary on offer is Β£56,759.04 + overtime, with enhanced pension, access to occupational health and a physiotherapist.
Shift PatternWorking continental shifts, 4 on 4 off: 2 x 12 hour days (6am β 6pm) and 2 x 12 hour nights (6pm β 6am).
