The Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in managing the firm’s finance operations and will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Initially, the role will focus on Principal Finance functions, including CASS and Client Money oversight, company accounting and reporting, and trade and distribution settlement. The successful candidate will build strong, positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including the regulator, and will support and help implement strategic plans that align with the firm’s goals and objectives.
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000; Contract: Permanent; Location: Bromsgrove.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversight of Principal Finance functions, including:
- CASS and Client Money oversight
- Company accounting and statutory reporting
- Trade and distribution settlement
- Integrity of financial reporting, capital and liquidity monitoring
Additional responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with FCA regulations, including CASS and Client Money rules
- Overseeing company accounting, statutory reporting, and internal control frameworks
- Managing trade and distribution settlement processes
- Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, and the annual ICARA reporting process, including wind-down planning
- Supporting internal and external audits
