We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Miller/ Programmer to join our clients dynamic team in the heart of Birmingham with excellent transport links and working hours. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimising CNC programs for our Mill machines to produce high-quality precision parts.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about machining and have a strong background in CNC Milling and programming.
CNC Miller/ Programmer Responsibilities:- Develop CNC programs for Milling machines based on engineering drawings, specifications, and job orders (CAD/CAM).
- Set up and operate CNC Milling machines, ensuring proper tooling, fixturing, and workpiece alignment.
- Conduct thorough testing and simulation of CNC programs to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimise machining processes and enhance productivity.
- Monitor machine performance, identify issues, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC Milling machines.
- Proven experience as a CNC Milling Programmer or similar role.
- Proficiency in CNC miller/ programmer languages; Heidenhain.
- Strong knowledge of Milling machine operations, including setup, tooling, and workpiece alignment.
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
