Overview

Pertemps are currently recruiting for a HSE Officer to join a leading manufacturing business based on the Isle of Wight. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and delivery of HSE compliance for the site.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, validate, report, and respond to HSE data
  • Ensure compliance to HSE legislation across site/projects
  • Review and revise documents in support of the HSE Management System
  • Ensure close collaboration with stakeholders on HSE matters
  • Ensure continuous review of the company's Safe Systems of Work in order to drive improvement
  • Support the organisation in regard to COSHH, Risk Assessment, Walks & Talks, Incident Management and Environmental Aspects
  • Internal & External Audits ISO 14001 and 45001

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a HSE Specialist and are interested in joining the renewables industry
  • Hold relevant education within HSE (Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate)
  • Knowledge in all aspects of COSHH assessment
  • Having the experience from a similar HSE role in manufacturing
  • Have experience of interpreting/reviewing/developing the HSE policies and processes
  • Have good IT skills, especially Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to quickly understand new systems
  • Have a good understanding of evaluating risk and planning risk management strategies

The HSE Officer Role

Our client is open to both a permanent position or a short term contract for the right candidate

£35,000 - £45,000 per annum depending on experience

Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm with a 1.30pm finish on Fridays
