We are seeking an experienced and dependable Production Operative to join a thriving manufacturing team in Solihull. This role requires strong sewing skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Start Date: Likely to be early January 2026, however interviews will be arranged ASAP for suitable candidates.
Hours of Work: 07:00 – 03:00 (Includes a 30-minute unpaid break and a 15-minute paid tea break)
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate industrial sewing machinery to produce high-quality stitched components
- Work with a range of production equipment, including flatbeds, ASP, CCP, BCP, and PPS
- Accurately cut fabric in line with measurements, templates, and production specifications
- Follow detailed patterns, instructions, and quality standards
- Complete basic numerical tasks such as measuring, counting, and calculating allowances
- Conduct quality checks on finished products
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Contribute effectively to team targets and production deadlines
Requirements:
- Experience using sewing machinery is essential
- Soft furnishing sewing experience is advantageous
- Pattern matching experience is a bonus
- Good numerical skills
- Strong team player with good communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
