We are looking for a skilled and reliable Cabinet Maker to join our workshop in Solihull. This is a temporary to permanent role, offering a long-term, secure opportunity for the right candidate within a family-like, supportive team.
Breaks: 1 x 1-hour lunch break (unpaid), 2 x 15-minute tea breaks (unpaid)
Key Duties & Responsibilities- Manufacturing cabinets, drawers, and wardrobes to specification
- Using power tools and hand tools safely and accurately
- Using measuring equipment to ensure precise dimensions and high-quality finishes
- Working from handwritten drawings and, occasionally, CAD drawings
- Assembling and joining cabinets to specific customer requests
- Preparing components for assembly, including cutting, drilling, edging, and finishing
- Carrying out basic quality checks and making adjustments where required
- Ensuring all work meets quality standards and deadlines
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Working both independently and as part of a close-knit team
- Previous experience as a cabinet maker or in a similar woodworking role
- Confident using woodworking machinery and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to long-term employment
