About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join a Children’s Services team in a specialist, non-caseholding role. This position focuses exclusively on completing high-quality CUBAS (Capacity to Understand and Be Aware of Safeguarding) and ParentAssess assessments, supporting practice quality and contributing to safeguarding decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake CUBAS and ParentAssess assessments to a high standard
- Prepare detailed, analytical reports to inform care planning and court proceedings
- Support social workers in understanding and applying assessment frameworks
- Contribute to safeguarding decisions through expert analysis and recommendations
- Provide evidence in court as required
- Promote consistent, high-quality practice across the team
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Trained in CUBAS and/or ParentAssess assessments
- Proven experience in completing CUBAS and ParentAssess assessments
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and care proceedings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and support others in assessment practice
