A leading logistics operation based at the Mantonwood site in Worksop is now seeking a Night Shunter to join its team on a long-term basis. This is a stable role offering consistent hours, working 4 on 4 off, with full training provided where required. The company operates a busy distribution hub and is focused on safety, efficiency, and high operational standards.
Pertemps are looking to recruit reliable and experienced shunters to work from the Worksop Mantonwood site. As the Night Shunter your duties will include:
- Yard shunting of trailers to and from loading bays
- Ensuring trailers are positioned correctly and safely
- Carrying out vehicle and trailer safety checks
- Communicating with the transport office and warehouse staff
- Maintaining a safety-first approach at all times
Shift details:
- Night shifts: 18:00 – 06:00
- Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off
To be a successful Night Shunter you will have the following skills and experience:
- Valid HGV Class C or C+E licence
- Valid CPC and Digi Card
- Previous shunting experience preferred
- A good understanding of site safety and yard operations
- No major endorsements (max 6 points)
In return the Night Shunter will receive:
- £15.74 per hour (nights)
- Regular, ongoing work
- Weekly pay (through agency)
All drivers’ pay rates are based on PAYE with accrued holidays. Umbrella payment options are available should you prefer a higher rate with no holiday pay.
