Pertemps are recruiting Class 2 Home Delivery Drivers on behalf of our prestigious client, a global market leader in logistics. Based in Doncaster, the role supports a nationwide home delivery operation for one of Britain’s largest retailers – providing the vital link between customers, stores and warehouses.
Duties include:
- Home delivery of furniture to retail customers
- Multidrop deliveries as part of a 2-man team
- Heavy lifting and manual handling
- Planning delivery schedules and routes with transport managers
- Supervising/helping to load and unload goods
- Securing loads safely
- Following traffic reports and adjusting routes if required
- Completing delivery paperwork and logbooks
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 (HGV C) licence
- No more than 6 points & free from serious endorsements (for insurance purposes)
- Valid DIGI & CPC card
- Smart appearance with excellent customer service skills
- Positive attitude rain or shine
Job Details:
- Daily start times between 06:00 – 07:00
- Pay rate: £17.31 per hour (This is PAYE only)
- Accompanied by a Driver’s Mate
- Multi-drop deliveries (handball required)
- Customer-facing role
