About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and motivated driver with a 7.5-ton (Category C1) licence to join our team as a Tree Watering Operative. Although this role involves driving a 3.5-ton van fitted with a water store, you must hold a valid 7.5-ton licence for insurance purposes. You will be responsible for watering newly planted trees across Edinburgh, helping to support the city's green infrastructure. This is a great role for someone who enjoys working outdoors and wants to contribute to environmental sustainability. No CPC or Tacho card is required, as the vehicle is under the threshold.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a 3.5T van with a water tank/trailer to various locations
- Follow watering schedules and complete daily route plans
- Record work completed using simple logs or apps
- Carry out basic checks on vehicle and equipment
- Represent the company positively in public spaces
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Category C1 (7.5-ton) entitlement
- Experience driving vans or light commercial vehicles
- Physically fit - manual work involved with hose use and setup
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work alone or as part of a small team
