Location: Kilsyth

Pay Rate: £18.63

Start Date: ASAP

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

Hours: Monday to Thursday 0800-1630 & 0800-1530 Friday

Minimum of 39 hours per week

Overtime available

Main Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with plant and equipment, sharing knowledge and using initiative while on-site.
  • Conduct and accurately record routine plant inspections.
  • Perform scheduled servicing in line with manufacturer specifications.
  • Carry out pre-through examination inspections to ensure equipment compliance.
  • Provide familiarisation, guidance, and support to apprentices and operators on the safe operation and correct maintenance of plant.
  • Advise on, or seek guidance for, plant modifications and development in line with Change Control procedures.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to introduce new technology.
  • Train, mentor, and support the development of team members.
  • Maintain the company vehicle and its contents to ensure full compliance.
  • Respond promptly to unforeseen mechanical issues on-site, including outside normal working hours when required.
  • Monitor and replenish spare parts carried in the company vehicle as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Will be required to travel across Scotland
  • A clean driving licence
  • Level 2 VQ Plant maintenance and repair
