Job Advert: Part-Time Receptionist
Location: Bruce House, Arbroath
Hours: 10:00 AM 2:00 PM (Part-Time)
Contract: Fixed-term until 31st May 2025
Salary: 13.12 per hour
Are you an organised and customer-focused individual with excellent communication skills? We are seeking a Part-Time Receptionist to join our clients team at Bruce House in Arbroath. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a professional and welcoming environment while supporting essential administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
– Provide front desk reception services, welcoming visitors and ensuring a professional first point of contact.
– Maintain the visitors log/fire register by recording arrivals/departures and issuing visitor badges.
– Manage the building key register, recording the issue and return of keys.
– Ensure notice boards are kept up to date and maintain stocks of leaflets, including database updates and reporting.
– Record and receipt tender documents.
– Assist with the production of staff ID badges as required.
– Issue job application packs on behalf of Human Resources.
– Manage room bookings using the councils booking system.
– Assist in setting up audio-visual equipment for meetings and support caretakers with refreshments and clean-up duties.
– Conduct weekly fire alarm tests and maintain records in the fire log and accident record book.
– Respond to public queries either directly or via referral to the ACCESSLine phone point.
– Handle general phone enquiries professionally.
– Input data into the councils flexitime system and generate reports as needed.
– Accept and sign for package deliveries addressed to building occupants.
– Provide cover for other receptionists during periods of sickness or annual leave.
– Ensure compliance with all data protection laws regarding the processing of personal data in line with the councils privacy policies.
