Location: Edinburgh (EH11)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: Temporary to Permanent opportunity
Shift: Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. Holiday Cover is required. 7am or 11am starts.
Pay Rates:
- Monday – Friday: £14.00 - £14.27
- Saturday/Overtime: £21.00 - £21.41
- Sunday/Bank Holiday: £28.00 - £28.54
Main Duties:
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV to deliver to stores, trade customers, and residential addresses.
- Deliver goods for a leading DIY & home improvement brand.
- Routes based around Edinburgh & the Lothians.
- Complete multi-drop deliveries, often involving manual handling and use of lifting equipment.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects in line with company requirements.
- Provide a professional and customer-focused service, representing the client positively.
- Accurately complete delivery paperwork, electronic PODs, and tachograph records.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, including safe manual handling practices.
- Communicate effectively with the transport office, store teams, and customers regarding delivery times and issues.
What You’ll Need:
- Valid UK Class 2 CPC & Tacho Card.
- Minimum 6 months’ commercial driving experience preferred.
- Good customer service skills and a flexible attitude.
