Job Description

Job title: Meter ReaderLocation: PH15 – PH20Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent after 15 weeksHours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hrs per week, chose your own hours between 08:00 – 20:00!Salary: £12.60 per hour + bonuses (OTE: £33,000 pa – with bonus earnings)Bonus Points system: Can earn up to £500pmNO EXPERIENCE REQUIREDThis position is ideal for individuals who enjoy meeting new people and are comfortable engaging with customers. Our client provides comprehensive training, along with regular inductions held across the country, to ensure you're well-prepared for the role.In this role, you'll use your own vehicle to visit both residential and commercial locations within your designated area.Important Requirement:Due to mileage payments being provided, applicants must reside within the PH15 – PH20 postcode areas.Job responsibilities will include:
  • Driving to a designated area local to you
  • Knocking on doors and being customer service friendly, making them aware your checking Meter Readings.
  • Obtaining utility meter readings at residential/commercial properties
  • Conducting visual inspections of metering equipment
  • Recording data through our client’s mobile/tablet app
  • Move to the next location and repeat process
  • Training will be provided
  • Mileage will be paid at 30.5p per mile

MUST HAVE: 

  • Driving Licence, in current address, entitling you to drive in the UK – with no more than 6 points
  • Use of your own vehicle with business insurance and current MOT.
  • Must be able to pass a basic DBS check.
  • 3 years referencing
