Pertemps are delighted to be working with our valued public sector client to recruit Library Advisors for on a temporary basis. 📍 Location: Edinburgh (various locations) 🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 – 17:00 💷 Pay Rate: £14.02 per hour 📅 Duration: Temporary (3 months) 🔑 Start Date: Immediate Are you passionate about community engagement and public service? Do you thrive in dynamic environments where no two days are the same? We’re looking for adaptable, enthusiastic individuals to join a vibrant team of Library Advisors across Edinburgh. ⚠️ Flexibility is key! While you’ll receive plenty of notice for your shifts, working hours and days may vary depending on service demand. You’ll also be expected to work across different library locations throughout Edinburgh. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and is happy to adjust their schedule to meet the needs of the community. This role requires a PVG Certificate (£59 for a new application or £18 to update an existing certificate). 🌟 What You’ll Be Doing: Delivering outstanding customer service to library users Assisting with council services such as issuing bus passes Supporting and leading community events and activities Running sessions like reading groups, digital skills classes, and children’s storytimes (if required).
